If you guessed Triple Helix’s first video shoot, you guessed right! Over the past weekend Triple Helix and company took on LA. Squatting and some times sneaking into various LA areas to get footage for our first video for “The Resistance” off of the Building Blocks album. I have to be honest folks indie guerilla film making is no joke. Besides being the talent, we were also the grips, kraft services, transportation, makeup, security and executive producers. Ok, maybe not make up but we did have to wipe our own sweat from our brows…..Let me be the first to say this was one of the first times I physically hurt for Hip Hop. But it won’t be the last. The feeling I had once the sun went down on Sunday was one of accomplishment and pride. I can honestly say that I not only speak about the changes that should take place in Hip Hop, but actually take action. All in all it was one hell of an experience and I look forward to doing it again, after some well needed rest…. Shout out to everyone who helped out this past weekend. We couldn’t have done it with out you.
